NICK BILTON, CEO

Nick Bilton is a Los Angeles-based author, journalist, and filmmaker.
Known for probing the most talked about issues of our time, Nick Bilton specializes in creating thought-provoking and wildly entertaining content across a multitude of mediums. He has produced Emmy-award winning documentaries, scripted television shows, feature films, narrative NYT-Bestselling nonfiction books, and Webby award podcasts.
His journalism has included stories on cryptocurrency crimes, the impact of social media on society, and the evolving landscape of technology on media, culture and politics. Bilton's work for Vanity Fair and The New York Times has covered high-profile topics such as the Bitcoin heist by Heather "Razzlekhan" Morgan and Ilya "Dutch" Lichtenstein, Steve Jobs and Tim Cook and Apple, the leadership transition at Amazon with Andy Jassy succeeding Jeff Bezos, and the dark side of Internet. A series he wrote for The New York Times led to the FAA allowing people to use iPhones and Kindles during takeoff and landing.
His previous television and film productions have included HBO's The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney, HBO's Fake Famous, which Bilton directed, and Biggest Heist Ever based on his Vanity Fair story “Bitcoin Bonnie and Clyde", in partnership with Netflix and director Chris Smith. He has written on TV shows, including The Idol and Hatching Twitter.
Additionally, Bilton is currently in production on a doc series based on the founding of Twitter, in partnership with Netflix, and in development on a film and book about the Hawaiian mafia in the 1960s and '70s, in collaboration with Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, and Martin Scorsese.
NICHOLAS DE LUCCA, PRODUCER
Nicholas De Lucca is an accomplished producer, screenwriter, and journalist hailing from Long Beach, California. He currently spearheads new projects, production, and in-depth research for True Story, and has played a key role in numerous high-profile projects in development for Netflix.
He graduated summa cum laude from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts where he majored in screenwriting. Nick has authored numerous projects such as 50-50, which won best short script at NeoClassic Multimedia Fest, Mitzvahed, which was featured in Dodge College’s 2023 script showcase, and Los Angles, which was produced into a short film.
A former editor for The Panther Newspaper, he was a features and entertainment writer, covering stories around Orange County and the entertainment industry, where he managed a team of six writers. During his time at The Panther, Nick interviewed notable talent, including Paul Thomas Anderson, Adam McKay, Halle Berry, Sebastian Stan, and Seth MacFarlane, ahead of their upcoming project releases.

Nicole Landset Blank brings a dynamic blend of investigative rigor and storytelling expertise to True Story Productions. With nearly 20 years of experience as a political consultant specializing in research and strategic communications, Nicole's transition into film, television, and publishing has cemented her reputation as a key figure behind some of today's most compelling stories.
Nicole's impressive body of work includes such high-profile projects like AppleTV's WeCrashed and the acclaimed film The Beanie Bubble. She has also contributed to the development of numerous New York Times-bestselling books, leveraging her investigative skills to uncover hidden narratives and craft rich, authentic stories.
Before joining True Story Productions, Nicole served as the Director of Research and Strategy at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in Washington, D.C., where she played a pivotal role in shaping political campaigns through data-driven insights and communication strategies.
Now based in Los Angeles, Nicole applies her deep expertise in research, strategy, and storytelling to develop impactful documentaries, films, and television series that resonate with audiences.
